1. The brake parts shall be retired in one of the following cases:
(1) crack;
(2) The friction pad wear of the brake pad is up to 50% of the thickness of the raw material;
(3) The surface wear of the brake wheel reaches 5mm ~ 2mm;
(4) The plastic deformation occurs in the spring;
(5) The idle travel of the lever system exceeds approximately 10% of its rated stroke.

2. The hook of Mobile Luffing Tower Crane is not allowed to be repaired. It should be scrapped if one of the following conditions is true:
(1) Observing cracks and breaks on the surface with a 20-fold magnifying glass;
(2) Hazardous sections such as hook tails and threaded parts and hooks have permanent deformation;
(3) The wear of the lanyard section exceeds 10% of the original height;
(4) the mandrel wear amount exceeds 5% of its diameter;
(5) The opening degree is increased by 15% compared with the original size. When the crane is overloaded, it will cause the rope to fall.
